WHILEY GOLF (WG) was established to service the many aspects of the golf industry. Andrew Whiley, President of WG has had experience in nearly every facet of the golf industry, from teaching, retailing, marketing, golf product manufacturing, international distribution, independent company development, technology development (Internet-based and interactive CD-Rom production) and consulting.

Andrew's golf experience includes a variety of different roles in the golf industry. He has been a member of the New Zealand Professional Golfers' Association since 1983 and has worked as a golf professional for over eighteen years in three countries. Currently Andrew and his family reside in his native New Zealand as the Head Golf Professional at the Chisholm Park Golf Club, Dunedin, NZ.
In March 1996, Andrew became President of Prosimmon Golf (Canada) Inc. Since then, he has seen the changes in the North American golf industry. The mid-'90's were growth years for the golf industry and in 1998 the industry changed dramatically with the emergence of the Internet and the mass exposure of the Golf Channel. Today, golfers absorb their information primarily from these two sources plus through various golf publications, rather than visiting with the golf professionals in the golf-shop. With Andrew's previous golf-shop experience and consistent contact with pro-shop staff and golf consumers, he has been able to monitor the dramatic changes in the industry and the changes in how golf products are retailed.
With this professional experience in changing markets, Andrew is able to harness the traditional methods of doing business and combine this with the future technologies and expectations of the golf market. Very few in the golf industry have this broad scope and skills

Prosimmon Golf was the first golf company in North America to combine an interactive computer club-fitting system with golf equipment designed and custom-manufactured to each customer's specifications. Andrew introduced this line of Australian golf equipment to the North American golf market. Over the four years he was involved with Prosimmon Golf, Andrew:
- Exhibited at and attended over 25 golf shows in the US, Australia and Canada.
- Presented the equipment to large buying groups.
- Educated Golf Professionals in the full benefits of custom club-fitting for their customers.
- Worked with International distribution systems and sourced specialty golf products from around the world.
- Developed and implemented marketing programs creating brand recognition for the Canadian golf market.
- Educated PGA Golf Professionals in PGA certified seminars.
In December 1999, Andrew Whiley introduced an Interactive educational golf concept to a small sports software company in Vancouver. Throughout 2000, Andrew authored, developed and produced this product into a series of 8 CD- Rom titles (a total of 14 total CD-Roms). Combining full-motion video, voice narration and detailed text, the golfer can quickly learn and understand all aspects of the game.
The CANCoach CD-Rom program was launched at the Las Vegas Golf Show (September 2000). The product was featured as one of the hot new products by several prominent golf web-sites. Distribution for the product in North America was promptly picked up by "The Booklegger Company" which is the largest distributor of golf books and videos in the world, with over 8,000 accounts.
The aspects of the golf industry related to the trade and consumer markets continue to change with the new computer and interactive technologies. Andrew keeps abreast of these changes and has the knowledge and resources to ensure that you are on the leading edge of this market.
